Camjam 2002
Sunday 4th - Sunday 11th August

Arrive on the site as early as you like on the 4th for an opening ceremony that evening. The closing ceremony will be late on the 10th August leaving groups to depart at their leisure on the Sunday.

Where is it?
Camjam will again be held at the East of England Showground on the outskirts of the Cathedral City of Peterborough in the north of the historic county of Cambridgeshire famous across the world for it’s universities.

Access to the area is excellent with the A1 passing the Showground on its western perimeter (The east/west A14 is only a few miles south on the four lane A1M)

Camjam has a reputation of excellence, ample space for camping and six full days of activity for the young people.

Who may come?
All members of both the Scout & Guide organisations between the ages of 10½ and 18. Scouts & Guides over the age of 18 will be welcome to serve as members of staff subject to a letter of recommendation from their District/Division Commissioner.

Camp Fee
The camp fee for members will be £75.00 and for Leaders £50.00. This will include the camp badge, handbook, subcamp necker & badge activities/outings for the youth and outings for the leadership. The fee excludes the cost of food, travel and camping equipment. A £5 per head reduction will apply for Groups fully paid by 1 May 2002

Booking.
You have the option of paying your deposits (£10 per head) now to guarantee a place or going on our mailing list for interested groups. The non-returnable deposits must be paid by 15th February 2002 at the latest. On receipt of your cheque we will acknowledge receipt and send you further literature as it becomes available.

To gain your discount the balance of the camp fee must be paid by the 1st May 2002, with an absolute final date for payment of 17th June 2002

Equipment
Each group must provide all its own equipment, tents, etc. Arrangements can be made to except heavy equipment in advance.
All cooking must be on gas stoves, open fires not being permitted.

Insurance
Each group is responsible for its own insurance, including personal and equipment cover. International visitors must arrange their own travel and medical insurance.

Staff
We always require extra adult staff for a wide variety of roles so especially if you have not got a Scout Troop to bring apply now to work on the staff by sending a stamped address envelope to Trevor Watson at the above address marked Staff Application. Beaver & Cub Section Leadership are most welcome to apply
